La Suisse Primitive (LSP) is an independent music label, cultural that has focused on the production and release of vinyl records for almost ten years. However, LSP does not function as a „typical“ „music label“, rather it looks at the music market from a different angle and understands its products and publications as integrated works of art. In addition to the musical dimension, graphics, visual design, the textual level and video productions play a fundamental - and not simply instrumental – role in our releases. We have high demands on the quality of the music as well as the graphics and the final materialization on vinyl and paper. Not interested in standard solutions we look for the right way to do what we do. This is to be understood in the context of the digital age, in which music threatens to degenerate into a mere file that can be downloaded, moved and consumed beyond visual and haptic aspects. The record as an integrated piece of culture is a core pillar in La Suisse Primitive’s activities.
